Most "fun games near me" searches happen about two hours before someone needs an answer. The group is already assembled, the weather has ruled out the original plan, and what is actually needed is not inspiration but logistics: is it open, will they take six of us, how long does it take, and what do we need to know before we turn up.

Opening Hours, and Which Slots Actually Go First
- Monday to Thursday: 4pm – 10pm
- Friday: 4pm – 12am
- Saturday: 10am – 12am
- Sunday: 10am – 10pm
Earlier daytime slots on weekdays can be opened for group bookings on request — school trips and corporate sessions often run before 4pm. Ask when you request a quote.
The slots that fill first are Saturday afternoon and Friday and Saturday evening. If your plan depends on a specific hour, check live availability before you tell the group a time. Midweek evenings are usually the quietest.
What You Actually Do for 60 or 90 Minutes
Your team gets a session, not a booking for one game. All 30 rooms are open to you for the whole of it, in any order you like, and you can retry anything as often as the clock allows.
Each room is short — a couple of minutes — and self-contained. Every attempt anyone makes feeds a single shared team score, tracked automatically on RFID wristbands, so there is no scorekeeping to do and nobody is playing against their own group.
Every room also has three difficulty levels, and you pick which to attempt. That is what makes a mixed group work: the same room can be a fair fight for a twelve-year-old and for their parent, at different levels.
Physical (10 rooms)
Cardio, Lava Land, Laser Maze, Road To Olympus, Golden Gate Bridge and others — climbing, balancing and moving fast.
Brain (7 rooms)
Bomb Squad, Genius, Clef De Sol, Worlderland — arithmetic, memory and recognition against a clock.
Skills (13 rooms)
Buzzer Beater, Hitball, Crystal Maze, Target 8, Slingshot Madness — aim, timing and precision.

Before You Arrive
- Wear something you can move in, and closed running shoes. Several Physical rooms involve climbing, and the wrong shoes are the most common regret.
- Watch the briefing video. It covers the safety rules and how scoring works, and it is genuinely worth ten minutes if you are organising the group — it means less standing around being instructed on arrival. It is on the site: briefing video.
- Sort waivers in advance for anyone under 18. A parent or guardian has to sign.
- Arrive together and a few minutes early. The clock runs for the session, so a late arrival costs the whole team.
- Eat afterwards. There is no walk-in food or drink service on site, and a full stomach is a bad idea before the Physical rooms. Catering is available for private bookings only.
Booking, Rescheduling and Cancellations
Booking is online and you choose your date, time and session length. The rules worth knowing before you pay:
- Rescheduling is available up to 24 hours before your session — call (647) 361-6700 or email toronto@cubechallenges.com with your booking details and a preferred new date, subject to availability.
- Bookings are final and cannot be cancelled.
- Inside the 24-hour window, changes are not eligible for rescheduling or a refund.
The practical version: pick your date carefully, and if the group is wobbling, sort it out more than a day ahead.
60 or 90 Minutes?
Book 60 if it is a first visit you are fitting around something else, if the group includes young children who will run out of steam, or if you just want to see what it is.
Book 90 if the group came specifically for this. The first 20 to 25 minutes go on working out which rooms you are good at; the competitive part starts after that. At 60 minutes it tends to finish one round early.
The price gap is $6 per person and there is no weekend surcharge either way.
Which Groups It Suits
- Families. Three categories means the nine-year-old and the adults are all good at something, and the shared score puts them on the same side.
- Friends and couples. Two people is a normal booking and covers more ground than you would expect in 90 minutes.
- Birthdays. A fixed session with a clear start and end, and nobody gets eliminated. See events and parties.
- School and corporate groups. Split into teams of up to 6 running simultaneously, quoted individually — ask for a quote.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an escape room?
No. An escape room is one room and one puzzle for an hour. This is 30 separate rooms you move between freely for your whole session.
Are there arcade machines?
No. There are no video game cabinets, tickets or prizes. Every challenge is a physical room.
Can we just walk in?
Booking ahead is strongly advised — sessions run on timed slots and weekend slots go early. Check availability online first.
What is the youngest age?
