Thirty rooms, one team, one score
If you are searching for fun games near you and you are anywhere near Mississauga, this page is the plain description of what Cube Challenges is. It is a real-life gaming venue on Unity Drive: thirty challenge rooms, each one a short game you play physically as a team of two to six. There are no screens to sit at, no cabinets and no tickets. Your team wears RFID wristbands, shares one score, and that score sits on a live leaderboard for the whole session.
It is not an escape room either. Nothing is locked behind a story. Every room stands on its own, and you choose the order.
How a session works, step by step
- Your team arrives. Two to six players. Bigger groups split into more teams.
- Every player gets an RFID wristband. It is how the rooms know who you are and where the score lives.
- Your team's score goes on the live leaderboard, next to every other team playing that session.
- Scan your wristbands at a room door. Any room, in any order.
- Choose a difficulty level. Every room has three. Clearing a harder one scores more.
- The room unlocks and the game starts.
- Clear the challenge and the room's points go on the team score.
- Miss it, and you can step out, scan back in and play it again. As often as the clock allows.
That is the whole format. Sixty or ninety minutes of it, with every one of the thirty rooms open to your team the entire time.
The three categories
Physical
Ten rooms that ask you to move. Cardio: cross the room on climbing handles without touching the red floor. Laser Maze: through a web of beams without tripping the alarm. Road to Olympus: climb to the top before the time runs out. Speed Barrels: a flat-out run.
Brain
Seven rooms of memory, maths and pattern under a clock. Bomb Squad: one calculation, and a wrong one blows up the building. Rainbow Mind: colour-coded button combinations at speed. Worlderland: photos matched to countries on a world map. Genius: arithmetic, fast.
Skills
Thirteen rooms of aim, balance and timing. Buzzer Beater: as many baskets as you can before the buzzer. Crystal Maze: tilt the playfield to steer a ball into the right hole. Color Twist: hands and feet on the coloured floor wherever the wall tells you. Crazy Circuit: carry the ring along the route without losing your lives.
Who it is for
Families with players aged 7 and up, friend groups, couples (two people is a full team), birthday parties, school trips, camp groups and work teams. The same thirty rooms serve all of them because the difficulty is chosen at every door: a family plays a room at level one, a competitive friend group plays it at level three, and both scores count the same way.
When it is the wrong choice
- You mainly want to eat and drink. There is no food service during a regular session.
- Your group wants to sit and catch up. This is an active session, not a lounge.
- You want one immersive story. That is what an escape room does; thirty short rooms is a different thing.
- Anyone in the group is under 7. They cannot take part.

Before you arrive
- Wear comfortable clothes and running shoes.
- Watch the briefing video: rules, safety guidelines, and less time on instructions on the day.
- Sign the waiver for anyone under 18 before you come.
